About Jesse Rice
Grab a seat and get ready to sail away for the evening. Jesse Rice grew up in the South Carolina Lowcountry and moved to Nashville in 2002, where he became one of the city’s most successful songwriters. He co-wrote Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” the first country song ever certified Diamond by the RIAA and the CMA and ACM Single of the Year. He also co-wrote Ashley McBryde’s “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” from her Grammy-nominated album Girl Going Nowhere. Nelly, Chase Rice, Colt Ford and Kristian Bush of Sugarland have all recorded his songs.
As a performer, Jesse’s heart belongs to the islands. His Pirate Sessions albums are full of beach-and-boat songs like “Gettin Down In A Pirate Town” and “Sand in My Seat.” The Pirate Sessions V won Album of the Year at the 2023 Trop Rock Music Awards. In our listening room you’ll hear the hits, the stories behind them, and plenty of sunshine. Don’t miss it!
