About The Show…

Spawned from San Diego’s premier singer/songwriter venue Java Joe’s with the likes of Jewel and Jason Mraz. Described as McCartney & John Mayer meet Neil Young & Tom Petty at a Jimmy Buffet concert, Christopher Dale mixes his many influences together to form one uniquely engaging artist. The consummate traveling troubadour, he captures your attention with his honesty, heart, and fun-loving energy. Catchy songwriting and a remarkable vocal range coupled with candid storytelling and an unparalleled devotion to entertain the audience makes each C. Dale live performance a memory that sticks to you like Super Glue!

About The Artist…

One of our favorite people to spend time with, he is quite the entertainer and humorist!  His style is unique, and the warmth he brings to all his fans is a welcomed gift in the world!

As many of you know, The Habitat rode the northern eyewall of hurricane Milton, and while we have recovered mostly, the yard (seating area) is still a bit rough so we continue to request that you wear flat comfortable shoes, and be cautious walking in the yard.  It will be some time til the dance floor is back as well…

We are a Listening Venue.

RSVPs are required for these shows.

RSVPs will insure you have seating, but don’t be afraid to contact us right up to showtime if you want to come, sometimes last minute seating opens up.

Your donations are all given at the door when you arrive.

Suggested Donations for this show are $25 per person, or $40 VIP.

100% of all donations go directly to the musicians.

Please BYOB and if you have a mind to, a dish to share (not required, of course)

We are rain or shine, watch this space and join our email list for updates as needed (link above, ‘Subscribe!’)

We are a listening venue and request that guests take their conversations into the chat zones (inside the house, or back past the pool with lowered voices…) where you can continue to listen away from those who wish to concentrate on the music. You are welcome to socialize with your friends! We set up chat areas so that everyone will have the experience they want to have while listening to music!

The Habitat is the private home of Ken and Heather Settlemyer who are passionate about the importance of nurturing both local plant and animal wildlife and independent musicians.

Habitat-PhotoLive Music & A Wildlife Sanctuary… The concept of the House Concert is to provide a venue where musicians can come to be heard by those whose primary intention is to listen rather than to have music in the background.

We host musicians to perform at The Habitat approximately one to two times per month, either on our outdoor stage, or on the indoor stage in the event of inclement weather or upon musician request.

We are also proud to maintain over 1/4 acre of wilderness within an urban environment, providing much needed habitat for a variety of native species.  We plant only native species and manage or eliminate the non native species in that area.  We are delighted to play host, not just to excellent musicians, but to a plethora of beautiful butterflies.

The Habitat concerts are a private event, contact us for an invite, and when you come, BYOE and a donation for the musicians.  This is completely not for profit, all donations go in entirety to the artists, some of whom will have traveled from out of state!  Food to share is always welcomed, but not required.

We respect our neighbors and all noise ordinances and time the concerts in consideration of both.  We sincerely hope you join us when you are able.

You are also welcome to stop by and ask Ken for a tour, he will be proud to show you our work in progress as we make a miniature wildlife preserve in the middle of Bradenton, a haven for bees, birds, bats and butterflies!
